Technology has brought many exciting changes to art world. A relatively new innovation is called the giclee; which literally means the spray that is released when you peel an orange. Giclees have been around since the late 1980s. Giclees provide an affordable alternative to the costly prices artists generally need to charge for original paintings (with very good reason). The quality and accuracy of this form of reproduction is without measure and has quickly become the preferred method to reproduce art. It is very difficult for even the trained eye to tell the difference between the giclee and the original painting.
